Try out my simple garden/farmers salad.

Garden salad

Ingredients

1 whole Avocado
Onions(sliced)
Cucumber
broccoli (blanched)
Hard lettuce
Cherry tomatoes
Olive oil
1 lemon
Carrots (shredded)
Salt (pinch)
Black (crashed)

Procedure

1.Blanch the broccoli in boiling water with salt or bicarbonate of soda for less then a minute,wash peel and ct the carrots in to julienne s or strips
2.Peel the avocado and cut slightly large cubes, cut the cherry tomatoes in to half and add in the mixing bowl with the sliced cucumber and the picked hard lettuce
3.Drizzle some olive oil in the salad mixture and squeeze in the lemon juice. Add the salt and crashed black pepper then mix everything up to taste
4.Plate the salad on a clean dry plate and serve the salad

  1. Thanks for the recipe. These are items you rarely find on Kenyan home meals and always find them in wazungu menus.
    Lets continue teaching our people how to eat well.
    I love cooking and always serve salads,but end up with left overs cos our people believe vegetables ni cabbage or sukuma only.
